Community Submissions
At the Cycles of Change Project, we want to empower you to continue taking photos & creating content around menstruation. Here you can find our collection of photo submissions from community members that are not officially affiliate with the project. These powerful shots are self-submissions alongside a powerful story about the impact of this image.
submission: @heathersholistics.ca I really wanted to share this photo because it helps us know that speaking about periods doesn't have to always be super serious. it can, and should be fun and accessible.
submission: @heathersholistics.ca This is a photo that a friend took of me, in that I found it really beautiful in holding my womb space and feeling connected to my period and body.
submission: @heathersholistics.ca this is a super silly photo, but I LOVE it as Its showing me holding my USED pad. It's really funny because unbeknownst to me at this time, I wasn't using it with the correct side up (the softer cotton side should have been touching my vulva). Anyways, pads get dirty & seeing pictures of that should be normalized so folks are not afraid of what it looks like!
submission: @heathersholistics.ca It was a cutsey little morning when I had some raspberry tea and my cycles journal. A little mind-body-spirit connection to my womb space was really really lovely.

submission: @heathersholistics.ca This is not a glamorous photo but I love to share this one as it's a space where I held a menstrual health education seminar. It didn't have to be super fancy to bring menstrual magic and help people feel comfortable in the space.
